Labor Day Weekend, September 4-7, write, shoot and edit a film in 72 hours.
How it Works:
The contest is open to any filmmaker/group within our festival region – El Paso to Tucson and Taos to Chihuahua.
Register here and pay your $20 entry fee. Select one group member to be your representative and make sure to include their email address.
At 5:00 pm (MDT) on Friday, September 4 you will receive an email with an object, a location, and an action that must be included in your film. This will be your official start time.
You will have until 5:00 pm (MDT) on Monday, September 7 to write, shoot, edit and submit your film.
Length should be between 3-5 minutes.
The use of generative AI is NOT allowed. Any AI tools used in the editing process must be disclosed.
Material should be suitable for audiences of a wide age range. Email c.coordinator@silvercitymainstreet.com with questions.
Final cuts must be submitted via Google Drive to c.coordinator@silvercitymainstreet.com by 5:00 pm (MDT) on Monday, September 7.
Selected films will be shown at the SCCFF on Oct 1-4. Prizes (TBD) will be awarded to favorites.
